Threading is an ancient art of removing hair from the body. This method originated in ancient India and is widely used in South Asia & Middle East.

In this procedure, a 100% cotton thread is twisted around the fingers and a loop is made. The hair is then pulled in the opposite direction of the growth when they are trapped in this loop. The procedure also necessitates the skin to be stretched (eyelid and forehead) around the eyebrow, which results in mild redness.
