Travel Tip of the Month:
The art of packing for your travels has never been more important.

Many airlines are now levying a fee if you check more than one suitcase per person – some even charge for your first checked bag. And if your baggage exceeds weight regulations, you’ll pay even more. That’s not all: airlines are enforcing carry-on rules more aggressively than ever, so you’ll need to make sure your carry-on meets size and weight requirements too.

Here are a few tips to help you get packing and on your way: /b>
Lay it Out: Get together everything you plan to take, and lay it out on a bed or open space. Try to eliminate things you brought last time and never used. Roll ‘em Up: Rolling your clothes before packing them saves space and helps prevent wrinkling. Cross-Pack: Pack half of your spouse’s clothing in your suitcase and vice versa. That way if one bag is lost, you’ll both have some of your luggage. Carry on Then: Your carry-on should include a change of clothes, sleepwear, toiletries and a bathing suit. If your luggage should be mislaid, at least you’ll have the basics.

Take Heart: 85% of lost luggage is found within 48 hours.
